Hi. My name is Crystal Robinson and I am 13 years old. I'll be 14 in August. I am in Junior High, in the eighth grade. I will be a Freshman next year. I have blondish/brownish hair and hazle eyes. I have a bone disorder called Osteogenesis Imperfecta. I was born with 12 fractures and was tested to have type III and I have the symptoms of type IV as well. I was life flighted because I stopped breathing and almost died. I've broken most of my bones in my body. I have Transparent Teeth, affected from OI as well. Sorry if you think I have a boring life. I know it is but I just live my life to the fullest anyway and try to be cheerful and sweet. I have rode on a plane over 100 times. I fly every six months to a place called the National Institute of Health where I have Doctors take measurements, weight, and height and all of that. I have MRI tests, sometimes Cat Scans, and more tests. I used to have blood tests when I was younger but they stopped :)When I go to NIH I meet lots of people with OI as well. All different ages and heights. I am only 36 inches tall. In other words, 3 feet tall. (That is half the height of most people my age.) I drive an electric wheelchair at school and scoot around on the floor at home. I also use my wheelchair at home. That is how I get around. I used to could walk a little ways with Braces and a walker but I can't do that anymore because I have bad hips and things. *B For those of you that would like my picture please e-mail me at [email protected] because I don't know how to put it on here. My Hobbies are: Reading, Swimming, Talking on the phone, Hanging with friends, Camping, Drawing, Fishing, (never caught a fish and don't want to for fear of being pulled in.) Painting, writing stories, and Playing on the internet. I get on AOL Instant Messenger a lot and Chat. My screen name is Kristy1213. My favorite people to chat with on AOL would have to be Kim1756, she is practicably my big sister and we can read each others minds a lot. She is the most funniest, smartest, coolest, sweetest, kindest, neatest person I have ever met in my whole entire life. I've known her since I was born.
